GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) 3.0 is the latest version of GIMP. GIMP is a free and open source photo editing software. It is like a free Photoshop and it is designed to incorporate many of the filters, tools and effects that you get in Photoshop. GIMP is developed by GIMP development team. It has many features and professional tools. You can use GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) in Linux that is make GIMP a good and quality photo editing software for all operating systems.
GIMP is very easy to use and both new and experienced users can use this software. It has nice collection of basic and advanced tools like Seamless Clone, MyPaint Brush and N-Point Deformation. Improved interface is a plus point of GIMP. GIMP frequently updated with new features and fixes. It supports a huge number of file formats for display and export.
Poor help and no read guidance is the main problem in GIMP. Step learning curve, documentation is often missing and this is an another problem in GIMP. You can't export your photos directly to flickr or facebook.

Heal tool is an another basic and awesome tool that makes automatic fixes all issues such as a misplaced brush stroke. Most of effect is easy and need few steps but skillful edits like layering, need multiple steps. You can easily develop your image in GIMP as you like and get it in new file. You can save your photos in many types of file format like JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, PSD etc. GIMP allow to send an image directly to your printer.

What is new in GIMP?
Here is a quick list:
- Warp Transform: GIMP replace old iwarp tool and provides its features in a new tool that works directly on images, without a preview.
- Handle Transform: You can apply scaling, rotating and perspective correction using new handle transform. It is placed on the canvas.
- N-Point Deformation: It is a new way to bend objects. You can bend objects while preserving a natural look with N-Point Deformation.
- Unified Transform: Unified Transform is a new tool and it helps to combines rotation, scaling, skewing and adjusting perspective in a single tool.
- Paint Tools: All paint tools are update in new version. Now all paint tool display angle alongside distance in status bar when straight line constraining.
- Seamless Clone: Seamless Clone is a new tool in GIMP. You can simple merge one image into another image by adjusting brightness and colors of the pasted image to match the look of image it is pasted to by using Seamless Clone.
- MyPaint Brush: MyPaint Brush is a new paint tool in GIMP. You can use MyPaint Brush tool for painting.
- Intelligent Scissors: Now you can remove the last added Scissors segment with backspace.
